Philosophy was at the heart of everyday life in ancient Rome, a society with wisdom as a central principle. It was for everyone – practiced and discussed on the streets by young and old, women and men so that they might live a more peaceful, enjoyable and satisfying life. Over the years it seems we have lost some of what they had back then.
Stoicism is an ancient school of thought founded over 2000 years ago by Zeno of Citium, ultimately becoming the leading philosophy of the Roman empire. Nowadays, it is experiencing a revival due to its action-focused approach, tools and techniques that help people overcome obstacles, face adversity and live a better life. It embodies ‘the way of the hero’, helping us to see that we can be the hero of our own lives.
The wisdom of Stoic Philosophy is supported by other philosophical traditions and schools of thought. Many modern-day therapy systems like CBT, ACT and Mindfulness are founded on the shoulders of ancient wisdom, sharing a universal truth that shines through and transcends any particular system.
Philosophy provides a map to live by, a way of living in peace and harmony. At the core of its teachings are the virtues of courage, wisdom, temperance and justice as a model to attain fulfilment and to get the most out of what you do. Practising Stoicism provides us with a mindset to confront modern challenges by transforming our internal resources into tools to cope and thrive. At its core, Stoicism focuses on taking action because it is in what we do what really matters. “Waste no more time arguing what a good person should be. Be one”, Marcus Aurelius preached.

Our training classes are can be larger group experiences, depending on how many people sign up. They allow you to learn key skills in an online group hosted by our expert therapists . They are a mix of teaching, therapy skills and learning about the different systems and therapies that you can apply to your life. Ultimately we are teaching you new skills so that you can help yourself and deal with the challenges you are facing.
