A simple process facilitating change and your journey of self-discovery.
Breathwork practices have been around for thousands of years. Originating from ancient wisdom, they are now becoming one of the primary and most popular methods for inner work and transformation. Breathwork can have immediate and positive effects on your physical, emotional and mental wellbeing, including relieving tension and stimulating circulation, clearing trauma and emotional issues, or strengthening intuition and deepening meditation. Breathwork is a perfect example of the marriage between ancient wisdom now supported by modern science.
In ancient yogic teachings, the practice of directing the breath is called Pranayama, teaching you to breathe consciously, with awareness and intent. Many different breathing exercises are used to build self-awareness and focus during meditation or yoga.
Today, breathwork has evolved to include many new breathing techniques as tools for major transformation and self-healing for relief of mental, physical, and/or emotional tension. In addition to reversing the physical stress response in your body, deep breathing can also help calm and slow down the emotional turbulence in your mind. In fact, research shows that it can be a powerful therapeutic practice within itself, helping to treat depression, anxiety, insomnia and PTSD.
A daily practice, this is something that you can practice on your own, or as part of a group. A simple way to begin or continue your adventure, practising breathwork will take you on a journey of inner discovery.
